Georgetown vs. Alabama 7 p.m. [ESPN]

The Tide (4-2) represents the toughest competition so far for the Hoyas (5-0), who are ranked No. 5. Even at that, 'Bama represents only so-so resistance for the Hoyas, who have fattened up on the likes of Fairfield and Ball State. Alabama's anticipated big star, senior guard Ronald Steele, is a redshirt because of knee injuries.

Lakers at Nuggets 9 p.m. [ESPN]

Clearly, this game is all about the stars from a TV perspective. Kobe Bryant for the Lakers, and Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson for the Nuggets. The Lakers have been mostly treading water this season, but when these teams played a little more than a week ago in Los Angeles, the Lakers routed the Nuggets by 28 as Los Angeles coach Phil Jackson celebrated his new two-year, $24 million contract extension. If that's what it takes to get his team in gear, owner Jerry Buss better start winning a whole lot more at the poker tables.
