Couple robbed at gunpoint

A Washington couple loading groceries outside the Sam's Club in Laurel was robbed at gunpoint, Anne Arundel County police said.

The man and woman, both 48, told police that they were on the parking lot at 3535 Russet Green E. about 4:50 p.m. Saturday when four men approached them. At least one displayed a handgun and took their personal property, including cash and credit cards. The four fled in an older-model black Jeep Cherokee.

2 mall employees assaulted, robbed

Two employees at Arundel Mills mall said they were assaulted and robbed as they tried to make a night deposit, Anne Arundel County police said.

The two victims, men ages 36 and 31, said they were in a rear hallway about 10:15 p.m. Saturday when two other men approached. One punched the older man, then snatched the bag of cash, and the pair ran away.
