Freshmen Glenn Leitch (two) and Daniel Ankrah scored goals as top-seeded Loyola defeated Canisius, 3-0, in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference men's soccer tournament semifinals yesterday in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
The top-seeded Greyhounds (17-3) advanced to the title game, where they will face Saint Peter's (15-4-1) today at 1 p.m. The Peacocks defeated Fairfield, 2-1, in the other semifinal.
Today's winner will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Division I tournament.
Leitch opened the scoring in the fourth minute and Ankrah doubled Loyola's lead with a goal in the 16th minute.
Leitch finished the scoring in the 73rd minute.
Loyola goalie Milos Kocic made three saves and earned his 14th shutout of the season.
