Beatrice L. Foot, a former cook who was known for her crocheting skills, died Thursday of complications from Alzheimer's disease at Future Care Charles Village. She was 92.

Born Beatrice L. Allen and raised in West Baltimore, she attended night school at Douglass High School, where she earned her diploma.

Mrs. Foot worked for more than 50 years as a cook for several Roland Park families. She retired about 30 years ago, family members said.

"She loved to cook and entertain at home. Everything she made was good and beautifully served," said a niece, Maria Tolson of Baltimore.

She enjoyed crocheting and had filled her living room with examples of her work, her niece said.

"She was a member of the Waxter Center, and some of her work was on display there," Ms. Tolson said.

Mrs. Foot also liked to write poetry and collect dolls.

She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Mrs. Foot outlived three husbands, Ransom Livingston, Earl Anderson and Herbert Foot, and a daughter, Beatrice Livingston, who died in infancy. Her longtime companion, Jack Finger, died in the late 1980s.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chatman Harris Funeral Home, 5240 Reisterstown Road.

Also surviving are three brothers, John Allen of Tampa, Fla., and William Allen and Paul Allen, both of Baltimore; a sister, Lydia Rivera of Baltimore; and many nieces and nephews.
