Forecasters at AccuWeather say weather patterns in place for this winter look much like those that prevailed in 1949-1950. What did that winter in Baltimore look like? The only measurable snow fell in January and March, totaling 0.7 inch, the least on record for any Baltimore winter. Temperatures averaged 2 to 5 degrees above average, except in January, which ended 14 degrees above average, the second-warmest on record. Dry turned wet by February 1950, and the mild weather turned cold in March.
