Maryland 42No. 8 Boston College 35 College Park -- This was not the same Maryland team that lost its past three games and became an afterthought in the race for the Atlantic Coast Conference championship.
It was new faces - unfamiliar and unheralded playmakers who made names for themselves last night in a jaw-dropping 42-35 upset of No. 8 Boston College.

Play it again
What went right
Maryland quarterback Chris Turner threw for more than 300 yards, and five Terps had more than 40 receiving yards apiece.
What went wrong
The Terps waited until the 10th game of the season to play like they did last night.
Defining moment
On Maryland's first possession of the fourth quarter, Turner completed a pass to Darrius Heyward-Bey for a two-point conversion and a commanding three-touchdown lead at 42-21.
What it means
Maryland has a chance to salvage this season by becoming bowl-eligible with one more win and could better its chances of actually going to a bowl by sustaining its momentum with two more wins.
Up next
The Terps (5-5, 2-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) will travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to face Florida State (6-4, 3-4) on Saturday.
