State police yesterday released the name of the man who died Wednesday after his car hit a tree and burst into flames near the northbound lane of Route 702 leading to the Beltway.
Police said Wayne Edward Keim, 44, of the first block of Mersey Court in Essex was driving a 2008 Toyota about 5 a.m. when he lost control. Police said the impact caused the car to catch fire and that the vehicle's gas tank exploded.
