Brett Favre, Green Bay vs. Minnesota -- An afterthought during fantasy drafts, Favre (2,406 yards, 13 touchdowns in eight games) has again emerged as a top option. He has surpassed 300 yards in five of the past six games.


STARTING NOD -- Drew Brees, New Orleans vs. St. Louis: The Saints are rolling with Brees throwing for 781 yards and seven touchdowns in their past two games.

OTHER SOLID OPTIONS -- Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh; Marc Bulger, St. Louis; Tony Romo, Dallas.

NOT THIS WEEK -- Jason Campbell, Washington; Derek Anderson, Cleveland; Kurt Warner, Arizona.


STARTING NOD -- Marshawn Lynch, Buffalo at Miami: Last week, he ran over Cincinnati for 153 yards and a touchdown. On Sunday, Lynch (690 yards, five touchdowns) will continue against a Miami defense that ranks 31st against the run.

OTHER SOLID OPTIONS -- Joseph Addai, Indianapolis; Reggie Bush, New Orleans; Willie Parker, Pittsburgh.

NOT THIS WEEK -- Jamal Lewis, Cleveland; Rudi Johnson, Cincinnati; LenDale White, Tennessee.


STARTING NOD -- Plaxico Burress, New York Giants vs. Dallas: Burress (37 catches, 564 yards, eight touchdowns) will be primed for another strong performance against the Cowboys. He had eight catches for 144 yards and three touchdowns at Dallas earlier this season.

OTHER SOLID OPTIONS -- Hines Ward, Pittsburgh; Greg Jennings, Green Bay; Marques Colston, New Orleans.

NOT THIS WEEK -- Chris Chambers, San Diego; Bernard Berrian, Chicago; Reggie Brown, Philadelphia.


STARTING NOD -- Jason Witten, Dallas at New York Giants: Witten (45 catches, 617 yards, five TDs) got the season off to a good start when he caught six balls for 116 yards and a score against the Giants in a 45-35 win.

OTHER SOLID OPTIONS -- Heath Miller, Pittsburgh; Dallas Clark, Indianapolis; Chris Cooley, Washington.

NOT THIS WEEK -- Greg Olsen, Chicago; Vernon Davis, San Francisco; L.J. Smith, Philadelphia.


STARTING NOD -- Mason Crosby, Green Bay vs. Minnesota: After connecting on four field goals last week against Kansas City, Crosby should remain busy at home against Minnesota.


STARTING NOD -- Tennessee vs. Jacksonville: The Titans rank second in overall defense and have combined for 14 sacks and 10 turnovers in winning their past three games.
