No. 11 Centennial vs. No. 5 Fallston

WHEN -- Tonight, 7 o'clock

WHERE -- Broadneck

OUTLOOK -- The Eagles, who captured the Class 3A East regional crown with a 2-0 win over Atholton on Thursday, will go up against perennial state power Fallston in the state semifinal round. Sarah Parks and Kate Heineman have led a balanced offense for the Eagles, with junior G Liz Snyder anchoring a stingy defense. The Cougars from Harford County, led by junior F Lindsey Puckett, are making their 17th state playoff appearance and own nine state crowns. Centennial has reached the state tournament seven times, with the program's only state title coming in 1995.

No. 1 River Hill @ Howard

WHEN -- Friday, 7 p.m.

OUTLOOK -- Coming off a big win over Wilde Lake the week before, Howard (7-2) stumbled Friday with a 20-13 loss to Long Reach. Rebounding will be tough for the Lions against the top-ranked Hawks, who recorded their seventh shutout of the season with a 48-0 win over Reservoir last weekend. Junior RB Michael Campanaro ran for 203 yards and two touchdowns in the victory.
