Heavy 'Hearts' has sound actors

The Baltimore Sun

Hearts, Willy Holtzman's play about the Greatest Generation, creaks a little in its joints, like the four aging World War II veterans at its core.

Structurally, the play is less than svelte. It's packing a few extra pounds, and its parts don't always work together as smoothly as they might. But, for all that, it's fundamentally sound.

If you go Hearts runs at Center Stage, 700 N. Calvert St., through Dec. 2. Show times are 8 p.m. Tuesdays-Fridays; 2 p.m., 8 p.m. Saturdays; and 2 p.m., 7:30 p.m. Sundays. Tickets cost $10-$60. Call 410-332-0033 or go to centerstage.org.
