'American Musicworks'

The Baltimore Sun

Musicians Dean Shostak, Kelly Kennedy and Stephen Christoff explore American music in "American Musicworks" through Nov. 20 at Colonial Williamsburg's DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum.

The concert series offers different types of music, including fiddle tunes, clogging and homemade folk music from a bottle band. Those who arrive early can attend an "instrument petting zoo" that allows kids to play instruments.

The performances take place in the Hennage Auditorium on Nov. 6, 11, 13 and 20. All shows begin at 5 p.m. at the museum, 325 W. Francis St., Williamsburg, Va. A separate ticket is needed for the programs. Call 800-447-8679 for prices and reservations.
