Baltimore's Mount Vernon neighborhood has been named one of the best places to retire by Money magazine.
The magazine focused on cities, selecting the top neighborhoods for retirees from 30 of the nation's largest metro areas.
Mount Vernon finished 26th out of 35 neighborhoods that were chosen based on low crime, rich culture, easy access to transportation and great health care. The historic neighborhood was mostly praised for being a culturally rich community that features European-style architecture and offers numerous attractions such as the Peabody Library, the Walters Art Museum and the Theatre Project.
New York's Hudson Heights and Tudor City took the two top spots.
