OUTLOOK -- The Falcons (12-2) lost last year's final to Meade, 1-0, and last won the county final outright in 2003. They shared the title in 2005 with Chesapeake. Arundel (10-2) won its only county final in 1996. Since the county soccer finals began in 1994, Severna Park has won it five times and shared it twice with Chesapeake. (This will be Arundel's third trip to the final in 13 years.

BOYS SOCCER

No. 2 Broadneck vs. No. 5 Severna Park

WHEN -- Tonight, 7p.m.

WHERE -- Chesapeake

OUTLOOK -- The unbeaten Bruins (13-0-1), who defeated Severna Park 1-0 during the regular season, are looking to win their first county title outright since 1996. The Bruins shared the title in 2005 with Arundel. Severna Park (11-3) lost last year's final to Arundel, 4-1. The Falcons last won the county championship in 1998.

FOOTBALL

No. 6 Old Mill vs. No. 4 Arundel

WHEN -- Friday, 6.30 p.m.

OUTLOOK -- The teams are battling for the top seed in the Class 4A East region and the county championship. Arundel (7-0) leads the region, with Old Mill (6-1) second. Senior QB Nick Elko runs the host Wildcats' no-huddle spread offense, while junior Grant Enders guides the Patriots' one-back, four-receiver spread. The Wildcats defeated the Patriots 42-20 in the regular season last year, but Old Mill took the playoff meeting behind Enders, 18-12.

Archbishop Spalding vs. St. Mary's

WHEN -- Friday, 7 p.m.

WHERE -- Navy-Marine Corps Stadium

OUTLOOK -- Visiting defending champion Spalding (4-3) is 4-1 in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference after losing 26-25 to St. Paul's in overtime last Friday. That left St. Paul's at 5-1, a half-game ahead of Spalding and behind the Saints (5-2) who are 2-0 in the league. The Cavaliers need a big game from the Nick Whittles-led defense to stop Saints running backs Dontra Peters and Neil Lewnes.
