Colgate tops Towson for 9th straight time

The Baltimore Sun

Hamilton, N.Y. -- Before the 2007 season, Towson and Colgate played eight times. Eight times, Towson fell short.

On a rainy afternoon in front of 5,227 at Andy Kerr Stadium, the ninth time was no charm, as the uneven Tigers (3-5, 1-4 Colonial Athletic Association) fell, 27-17, to their out-of-conference rivals. With quarterback Sean Schaefer's two first-half interceptions, Towson was unable to spark an effective passing attack, and it was left to the tailback tandem of Nick Williams and Rasheed McClaude to carry the load.
