The Hawks shut out four straight opponents and Wilde Lake for two quarters before Wildecats running back Jerrell Epps scored from 4 yards out in the third quarter. With the 25-8 win, River Hill has defeated 17 straight county opponents dating to late October 2005.

Consecutive wins by the Centennial golf team dating to the 2005 season. The Eagles completed their second straight 11-0 season last week and won their last seven matches in 2005 after starting the season 1-3.

Yards passing by Oakland Mills quarterback Justin Sottilaire in the Scorpions' 43-27 win over Hammond on Friday. Sottilaire completed 25 of 42 attempts with one touchdown pass and ran for four more TDs to lead the Scorpions to their first win of the season. Sottilaire set a state record the week before with 448 passing yards in a loss to Marriotts Ridge.
