COLLEGE PARK -- As Georgia Tech's Travis Bell prepared to kick what could have been the game-winning field goal yesterday, Maryland quarterback Chris Turner stood on the sideline near midfield with his fingers crossed, "praying for some wind."

After an impressive performance in his first career start, Turner could do little else for his team at that point.
