North Star Tavern is an odd place -- a historic inn with white tablecloths and lobster on the menu, but also a sports bar with "bucket of Bud" happy hours and a volleyball net out back.

Some restaurants do a fine job straddling this line -- offering fine dining on one side and a more casual setting on the other. But North Star seems to have lost its way.
