Emilie J. Rusinek, 85

Emilie J. Rusinek, a retired bank officer and archery enthusiast, died of heart disease Sept. 18 at her Severna Park home. She was 85.

Born Emilie Jane Huber in Baltimore, she was raised in Brooklyn. She was a 1940 graduate of Southern High School.

In 1941, she married B. Joseph Rusinek, president and owner of Jojan Sports Equipment Co. in Severna Park. Mr. Rusinek, who had been president of the National Archery Association, died in 1995.

In 1947, Mrs. Rusinek began her career as a teller with Arundel Federal Savings Bank and eventually became an officer and director of the bank. She retired in 1984.

Mrs. Rusinek enjoyed competitive field archery, bow hunting, fishing and travel.

She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Severna Park, where a funeral Mass was offered Monday.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
