Could we maybe have some rain? Please? There are nine days to go in September, and we've seen only 0.35 of an inch of rain at BWI this month. We're well over 6 inches short of average rainfall for the year, and we haven't seen a month with a surplus of precipitation since April. If we see no more rain this month, it will rank as the fourth-driest September on record. We could sure use a nice, gentle tropical storm. But the forecast for the short term looks persistently terrific. If you're a cactus.
