On September 17, 2007 Robert Henry Wissmann, age 83, of Baltimore, MD and formerly of Cincinnati, OH. Bob is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 60 years Elizabeth J. (nee Rieger) Wissmann; his beloved children, Robert C. Wissmann and wife Barbara, John W. Wissmann and wife Jeannette, James M. Wissmann and wife Paula, Dr. Patricia W. Kihn and husband Edward, Dr. Joseph T. Wissmann and wife Grace, Kathleen M. Forrest and husband W. Edward, David A. Wissmann and wife Shayne, his beloved grandchildren Jamie E. and husband Lt USN Chad Donnelly, Daniel P. Wissmann and wife Kelly, Shaun J. Wissmann and wife Amanda, Robert W. Wissmann, Claire E. Kihn, Matthew E. Kihn, Benjamin D. Forrest, Alison M. Forrest, Conner B. Wissmann, Jonathan E. Forrest, Collin R. Wissmann, Christopher A. Wissmann, Mariel W. Wissmann, and assorted grand pets. Bob served in the United States Army during World War II and continued his military service for 34 years attaining the rank of Colonel as a member of the Infantry and Adjutant General Corps. Bob retired from the position of Chief Accounting Officer for the Architect of the Capitol in Washington, DC. Bob was also member and officer of many service organizations including the Catholic War Veterans, American Legion, the Holy Name Society, the Glad Men of Song, Clown Alley, the Boy Scouts of America and numerous school organizations. Visitation will be held at Ambrose Funeral Home, Inc., 1328 Sulphur Spring Road, Arbutus on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 5422 Old Frederick Road, Catonsville on Saturday at 10AM. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
