Annapolis brush off
Catch the sixth annual Paint Annapolis competition, hosted by the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association, this weekend in Historic Downtown Annapolis. Today through Saturday, visitors can watch 25 plein air landscape painters create two pieces of two-dimensional art in hopes of winning $5,000 in prizes. The painters will be set up throughout Annapolis and will paint at different times of day and night. Plein air painters of any skill level are invited to set up their easels throughout Annapolis and create their own art throughout the weekend.
Paint Annapolis will take place today, tomorrow and Saturday. The Paint Annapolis booth, offering maps with locations of the different artists, will be open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. at Annapolis' Market Square. Admission and information at the booth are free. For more information, go to mapapa.org. FREE
