Suspended Mets IF-OF Marlon Anderson two games and fined him an undisclosed amount for inappropriate actions after called third strike during a game Friday against Phillies. Anderson has appealed the decision.

METS -- Designated P Brian Lawrence for assignment. Purchased contract of P Dave Williams from Triple-A New Orleans.
