Homicide victim named -- Richard Kakari Asare, 24, a Morgan State University student from Glen Burnie, has been identified as the man shot about 11:20 a.m. Monday while walking in the 1300 block of E. Cold Spring Lane, about three blocks from the school. Asare, of the 8000 block of High Oak Court, died a short time later at Johns Hopkins Hospital. No arrest had been made.
Homicide victims identified -- Police yesterday released the names of two men fatally shot Sunday afternoon in the 3400 block of Belair Road. The victims, Channing Myrick, 26, of the 500 block of N. Glover St., and Deion Morris, 23, of the 1600 block of E. Oliver St., were gunned down about 4:30 p.m. by unknown assailants. Both men died a short time later at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Robbery -- A gunman robbed Garden Sea, a restaurant in the 5300 block of Belair Road, of an undisclosed sum of money about 8 p.m. Monday.
Homicide victim named -- Police yesterday identified the man fatally shot about 11:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of Round Road in Cherry Hill as Glenn Conley, 25, whose address was not available. Police responding to a report of a man shot outside a house in that block found Conley on the ground bleeding from a bullet wound to the back of the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. No arrest had been made. Metro Crime Stoppers, at 410-276-8888, is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
Stolen vehicle -- A blue four-door 2002 Mercedes-Benz with tags 8CB L96 was stolen between 10 p.m. Sunday and 1 a.m. Monday in the first block of E. Fort Ave.
Assault -- Police were seeking a man who forced his way into a house in the 1900 block of Christian St. about 4 p.m. Sunday and struck a male occupant with a handgun before fleeing. The occupant was not seriously injured.
Arrest -- Amon S. White, 19, of the 4200 block of Labyrinth Road, was arrested Tuesday in the 6600 block of Vincent Lane on a warrant charging him with the armed robbery of a man on the same street Aug. 20. White was being held at Central Booking and Intake Center.
Burglary -- A 42-inch wide-screen TV valued at $3,000 was stolen Monday from a house in the 4400 block of Craddock Ave. There were no signs of forced entry.
Arrest -- Blake Betters, 18, of the 3300 block of E. Monument St. was arrested in the 2600 block of Greenmount Ave. early Saturday on a warrant charging him with robbery and carjacking. Betters is accused of robbing a man of his vehicle Aug. 25 in the 600 block of Beaumont Ave.
Robbery -- Police were seeking two men who attacked a man, 65, from behind as he walked in the 2000 block of N. Calvert St. about 8 p.m. Monday and robbed him of his wallet containing $14.
Robbery -- Two men, one with a handgun, entered Spring Kitchen Chinese Restaurant in the 900 block of E. Baltimore St. about 8 p.m. and ordered a male employee to give them money from a secured place. The men then forced a second employee to open the cash register and give them its contents. The gunman and an accomplice fled with an undisclosed sum of money.
Stolen vehicle -- A burgundy 2003 Nissan Sentra with tags LMJ 216 was stolen Saturday or Sunday in the 1400 block of Eastern Ave.
Stolen vehicle -- A burgundy 1992 Toyota Camry with tags SCH C72 was stolen Monday in the 4700 block of Foster Ave.
Burglary -- Police were seeking two men who broke into Frankford Towing in the 6700 block of Quad Ave. about 9 a.m. Monday and stole two catalytic converters. When observed leaving the property by an employee, the men dropped the converters and escaped.
Theft -- A stereo radio was stolen Monday from a 2002 Honda Civic parked in the 5800 block of Toone St.
Rape -- Police were seeking a man who raped a woman, 18, in her car while she was parked about 1:30 p.m. Monday at Owings Mills Mall. The woman reported that the man, whom she knew from high school, forced his way into her car and raped her before he fled on foot. The woman was treated at a hospital. A warrant was to have been issued for the man's arrest.
Burglary -- Someone entered Owings Mills Cleaners in the 11000 block of Owings Mills Blvd. through a roof vent Sunday or Monday and stole $100 in quarters.
Robbery -- A man, 37, was standing outside his home in the 3700 block of Downey Dale Drive about 1 a.m. Monday when two males, one armed with a small-caliber handgun, robbed him of $50 and his cell phone. After the robbery, the victim wrestled the weapon from the gunman and both assailants fled. A check with the National Criminal Information Center showed the .22-caliber Ruger revolver had been stolen in Pennsylvania in May.
Burglary -- Twenty feet of copper wire was stolen over the weekend from a house under construction in the 10000 block of Egerton Farm Court.
Burglary -- Someone broke into Tim's Towing in the 1800 block of E. Joppa Road between Friday and Monday and removed two large wooden stereo speakers from a Dodge. Police said the speakers were found on the property and believe they were too heavy for the thief to carry away.
Robbery -- A blond-haired woman in her early 20s wearing tight jeans and armed with a knife robbed a woman, 63, of $30 in the 6300 block of York Road about 4:10 p.m. Monday.
Robbery -- A man armed with a knife entered High's dairy store in the 16900 block of York Road in Monkton about 9:20 p.m. Monday and ordered the clerk to give him money from the cash register. After she complied, the man picked up several packs of cigarettes and fled.
Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 500 block of Stratford Court through a doggie door Sunday night or Monday and stole a loaf of bread and a wallet containing an undisclosed sum of money.
