McNair not sure about next game

Ravens quarterback Steve McNair said "it's too early" to tell whether he will be able to start Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

McNair missed his first start with the Ravens yesterday, sitting out with a sore groin. He suited up for the game, but he was the backup behind Kyle Boller.

"We're just going to continue to get treatment, continue to work it out and continue to do the things we need to do," McNair said. "If I'm good enough to go, I'm going. If I don't, I think Kyle's doing an excellent job of moving the ball."

McNair injured his groin in the first quarter of the Ravens' season opener at Cincinnati and left late in the fourth quarter.

He was limited throughout practice last week and thought he would be a game-time decision.

"It's still a little bit sore, and I feel like going into this game, I wanted to give the team an opportunity with Kyle," McNair said. "Kyle did an excellent job of managing the game tonight. He did a great job of making the right decisions. The thing about it is when you go out and execute like we did tonight offensively and defensively, you've put yourself in a position to win."
