Games to Watch

The Baltimore Sun

No. 3 John Carroll @ Aberdeen

WHEN -- Tuesday, 7 p.m.

OUTLOOK -- John Carroll got a goal from Jenna Quaranta to beat Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A Conference rival McDonogh, 1-0, last week and improve to 5-0. Aberdeen won four of its first five games, but John Carroll will be its toughest test. The Eagles will have to stop the Patriots from controlling the ball and the tempo.

Dulaney @ No. 3 Fallston

WHEN -- Tuesday, 7 p.m.

OUTLOOK -- The Cougars have faced some tough opponents early, defeating last year's Class 3A state champion Mount Hebron, 1-0, before falling to No. 8 River Hill, 3-1, a few days later.

Bel Air @ Havre de Grace

WHEN -- Thursday, 5 p.m.

OUTLOOK -- This is a matchup between two of the county's top teams. Bel Air's Arlana Roland can be a dominating presence at the net for a Bobcats team that has started 2-0. Havre de Grace is led by Erica Bingham after making it to the Class 1A state semifinals last year.

St. Mark's (Del.) @ Fallston

WHEN -- Friday, 7 p.m.

OUTLOOK -- This will be a good test for Fallston before the Cougars begin a tough stretch against Bel Air, Edgewood, Joppatowne, C. Milton Wright and North Harford. Fallston opened the season with a 28-13 victory over Havre de Grace, as quarterback Mickey Bowen threw two touchdowns. St. Mark's gave up a fourth-quarter touchdown to fall to rival Glasgow (Del.), 20-13, in its season opener.
