Trembley, Cabrera get suspensions

The Baltimore Sun

Orioles manager Dave Trembley learned yesterday that he had been fined and assessed a three-game suspension as a result of his on-field tirade a night earlier. Daniel Cabrera, the only remaining pitcher from the Opening Day rotation, also was suspended, receiving and then appealing a six-game ban for throwing the ball behind the head of Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia.

Meanwhile, pitching coach Leo Mazzone lamented his staff's inability to get hitters out, while shortstop Miguel Tejada, the Orioles' most accomplished player, didn't sound too pleased to be getting the night off as part of Trembley's lineup shake-up.
