Manswell leads River Hill to win against Fallston

Malcolm Manswell assisted on two goals as No. 8 River Hill defeated visiting No. 3 Fallston, 3-1, in boys soccer yesterday.

Mike Doyle, Jake Pace and Tony Riso scored for the Hawks (1-2), but it was Manswell who set up the offense.

"Manswell dominated tonight. He just controlled the game and did really well in the midfield," Hawks coach Matt Shagogue said.

No. 2 Curley 3, St. Paul's 0 -- Goals by Bash Kamara, Mikias Teketele and Chris Weaver lifted the visiting Friars (7-0).

No. 1 Severna Park 10, No. 8 North County 0 -- Kaylee Pohlmeyer scored three goals and assisted on one for the Falcons (1-0) as they defeated the host Knights (2-1). Lauren Crum also scored twice and assisted on two goals as Severna Park fired 24 shots at North County goalie Sabrina Kirby.


River Hill 3, Mount Hebron 0 -- Maddi Lee had 18 kills to lead the host Hawks (2-0) over the Vikings (0-2). Becky Paynter added 24 assists and five aces.
