THE ISSUE:

The Carroll family is considering a proposal from Erickson Retirement Communities to develop about 150 acres of their historic Doughoregan Manor estate in western Ellicott City. The money would preserve most of the land and keep their 280-year-old manor house in family hands far into the future. But the project also would involve intense development and require bringing public water and sewer lines onto the property. Do you favor such a project?
