Angels update
Los Angeles will try to end a two-game skid, which seems like nothing compared with what its opponent has been dealing with. The Angels still held an eight-game lead over the Seattle Mariners in the American League West before last night. They have been mediocre on the road, going 35-34, compared with 49-25 at home. Escobar is 12-5 with nine saves lifetime against the Orioles, but in his most recent start against them, he surrendered seven runs and 10 hits in 4 1/3 innings. The Angels won three of four games against the Orioles in Anaheim. Catcher Mike Napoli returned to the starting lineup Sunday for the first time in more than a month, and Vladimir Guerrero is expected to join him tonight after being sidelined with right elbow tendinitis.
