A third arrest has been made in the fatal shooting of an Edgewood man on Aug. 12, a spokeswoman for the Harford County Sheriff's Office said.
Ravon Watson, 27, of no fixed address, was arrested Friday without incident while sitting on the front steps of a house in Yonkers, N.Y., said the spokeswoman, Sgt. Christina Presberry.
Presberry said Watson, who is charged with first-degree murder, is being held in Yonkers pending an extradition hearing. It was not known whether Watson would fight his transfer to Harford County, she said.
Presberry said that county detectives had worked closely with Yonkers police and that posters with Watson's photo had been distributed throughout certain neighborhoods there.
Watson is the third person arrested and charged with murder in the killing of Samuel David Horne, 25, of the 1800 block of Grempler Way in Watergate Village. Horne was shot in the 1800 block of Brookside Drive and died a short time later at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air.
Nicholas Porter, 27, whose address was not available, surrendered to Harford County authorities with his attorney Aug. 25. Porter is also charged with conspiracy.
A day earlier, Sean Smith, 28, was arrested in Stamford, Conn.
Both are being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center, Presberry said.
Presberry said Vance Majors, 28, of Yonkers and an unidentified fifth man were still being sought in Horne's killing.
Presberry said detectives had not uncovered a motive for Horne's death, other than that he was killed during some kind of a dispute.
Harford County Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of Majors or the identification, arrest and indictment of the fifth man sought in the killing.
