On September 6, 2007, MILDRED A. MACKENZIE, 90 years old, beloved wife of the late Robert L. Mackenzie, beloved mother of Garth and Thomas Mackenzie and Roberta Tier, there spouses, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was born and raised in Baltimore and was a long term parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Overlea, MD. She served there as a volunteer in the school library for 25 years. A child of the great depression and WWII, she worked at Edgewood Arsenal during the war and after the war while raising her family. She became a officer of the Women's Auxiliary of the Catholic War Veterans, where she also volunteered much of her time and energy. Friends may call at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home Inc., 1050 York Road (beltway exit 26A) Sunday 2-5pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 10am at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Overlea. Interment Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. The family wishes in lieu of flowers, donations to be made to St Michael's school library, 10 Willow Ave., Baltimore, MD. 21206.
