On Friday August 24, 2007, Jacqueline L. Yommer of Middle River, MD formerly of Bel Air, MD, beloved wife of the late Lorraine S. Yommer passed away at the home of her daughter in White Marsh, MD from recently diagnosed cancer. Born Jacqueline L. King in Essex, MD, on March 30, 1936 to John and Frances King. She is survived by nine children, Ronald Perkins of Bel Air, MD, Janice Sparwasser of Middle River, MD, Gary Perkins of Grantsville, MD, Cheryl Walk of White Marsh, MD, Patsy Astarita of Fallston, MD, Jay Yommer of Grantsville, MD, Dennis Yommer of Essex, MD, Janice Holter of Bradenton, FL, and Terry Yommer of Hampstead, MD. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, a sister Elizabeth Coleman of Edgemere, MD, two brothers James King of Tewksbury, MA, and Wayne King of Frederick, MD. Jackie was a long time resident of the Essex/Middle River area and an active member of Middle River Baptist Church for almost fifty years. She enjoyed reading, country music, the theatre, gardening, bird watching, traveling, teaching Sunday School and laughing with her numerous friends. She had a warm outgoing personality, was always quick with a smile and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was actively involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She lived her life with incredible courage, grace, and persistence and will remain in our hearts forever. She was laid to rest on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
