Severn man injured in crash
A Severn man was severely injured, and a South Carolina man was arrested on multiple charges after a crash on Monday in Severn, Anne Arundel County police said.
Mark Warren Freeman, 40, of Moncks Corner, S.C., was making a U-turn on New Disney Road about 12:20 p.m. when his Ford truck was struck by a Honda motorcycle driven by Phillip Foister Breathwaite, 38, of the 1900 block of Meade Village Circle.
Breathwaite was thrown from his bike and taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was listed in critical condition.
Freeman was charged for driving on an out of state suspended license, negligent driving and making an unlawful U-turn.
Deliveryman robbed in Glen Burnie
Two armed men robbed a deliveryman in Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel County police said.
The victim was working in the area of Warfield Road and Ritchie Highway about 9:30 p.m. Sunday when two men pointing black handguns demanded money. After he complied, one of the robbers struck him in the head, and the pair fled.
Store robbed at gunpoint
An Annapolis-area convenience store was robbed at gunpoint, Anne Arundel County police said yesterday.
The robber entered the Spirit Mart, in the 100 block of Old Solomons Island Road, about 6:20 a.m. Saturday, made a purchase then pulled a silver semi-automatic handgun from his pants and demanded the clerk give him the money.
The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of money, and the robber fled in a gray Toyota sedan with a partial MD Tag of 226.
He was described as black, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 190 pounds, with close-cropped hair and wearing a green and gray T-shirt and loose-fitting blue jeans.
Liquor store robbed in Edgewater
A man robbed an Edgewater liquor store and a patron at gunpoint, Anne Arundel County police said yesterday.
The robber entered Muddy Creek Liquors, 500 Mayo Road, about 11:20 p.m. Saturday, displayed a gun to the cashier, and grabbed an undisclosed amount of money from the register and fled the scene in a green vehicle.
