Baltimore police identified yesterday the man who was shot and then plunged the Jeep Cherokee he was driving into the swimming pool of prominent defense attorney Warren A. Brown.

Police, who said they did not have an address for Dwight McDaniel Baker, 35, said they were unsure whether he died of the gunshot wound or drowned after his out-of-control vehicle crashed through a concrete wall and into the pool at Brown's Northwest Baltimore home early Saturday.
