A soldier from Prince George's County died last week in Taji, Iraq, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.

Sgt. Princess C. Samuels, 22, of Mitchellville was one of two soldiers killed Aug. 15 during an attack, the Pentagon announced in a statement last night.

She was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.
