Parents should call their child's school for activities or the CCPS public information office at 410-751-3020.
Volunteers needed for school system
The Carroll County public school system uses parents and other volunteers who give services, time and encouragement to students and teachers.
To ensure that participants are adequately trained, volunteers are required to attend an annual training session before beginning a task or acting as a chaperone.
Training is offered throughout the school year at each Carroll school as well as regionally throughout the county.
All chaperones involved in overnight trips or activities will also be required to submit a background check at least 30 days before the scheduled activity.
