Biggest cheer
Not that anybody needed a reminder of how much love is thrown in Ray Lewis' direction, but the linebacker drew the loudest applause when he read quarterback Drew Olson's eyes and intercepted the ensuing pass.
Scott goes deep
Linebacker Bart Scott is re-living his college days when he was a safety at Southern Illinois University. During one play on an 11-on-11 drill, free safety Ed Reed blitzed, and the 6-foot-2, 240-pound Scott showed off some serious speed sprinting back as the deep safety.
Stars were out
John Madden and Andrea Kremer of the NBC Sunday Night Football crew attended practice, as did former University of Southern California and Los Angeles Rams coach John Robinson. Maryland men's basketball assistant coach Keith Booth also made an appearance.
Injuries
Wide receiver Derrick Mason (shoulder), right guard Chris Chester (foot), tight end Daniel Wilcox (ankle) and offensive tackle Steve Edwards (knee) did not practice. Offensive tackle Jonathan Ogden (turf toe) and linebackers Mike Smith (shoulder surgery) and Dan Cody (knee surgery) are on the physically-unable-to-perform list and did not practice. Rookie linebacker Antwan Barnes (ankle) and running back P.J. Daniels (hamstring) ran on their own.
Schedule
Today's practice is 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
