Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.
Assault -- A man, 47, and his nephew, 27, were arguing in the elder man's home in the 2400 block of Shirley Ave. about 5 p.m. Wednesday when the uncle was cut on an arm with a kitchen knife. Arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault was Leonard Dorsey. The uncle was treated at University of Maryland Medical Center and released.
Robbery try -- A man, 20, was seated in his car parked in the 3800 block of Elm Ave. about 11 a.m. Wednesday when he was approached by two men, one with a handgun, who demanded his property and money. The pair fled when the victim said he had none.
Burglary -- Jewelry valued at $100 was stolen Wednesday from an apartment in the 5100 block of Lodestone Way by someone who entered through the front door.
Stolen vehicle -- A white 2003 GMC Yukon with tags 048M799 was stolen Wednesday in the 6800 block of Moravia Park Drive.
Burglary -- Between July 26 and Wednesday, someone entered a house in the 100 block of N. Carlton St. through a rear sliding door and stole a dishwasher, a microwave oven, a marble-top kitchen counter and a TV with a 19-inch screen. The property was valued at nearly $1,500 and was the estate of the female occupant who recently died.
Robbery -- A man, 29, was walking across the parking lot at Frederick Douglass High School in the 2400 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway about 11 p.m. Tuesday when several teenage males, one armed with a handgun, robbed him of a cell phone valued at $100.
Burglary -- A female occupant of the 2300 block of Essex St. was awakened about 1 a.m. Wednesday by two young men who kicked in the front door. A cell phone valued at $100 was stolen.
Stolen vehicle -- A silver-colored 1995 Buick Regal with tags RJB 290 was stolen Tuesday night or Wednesday morning in the 2700 block of Lighthouse Point in Canton.
Burglary -- A furnace and its accessories -- all valued at nearly $1,800 -- were stolen from a garage in the 900 block of S. Conkling St. between Monday and Wednesday.
Robbery -- Two men giving two other men a ride from a party in the Hawthorne area were in the first block of Riverside Drive about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday when one of the passengers implied he had a gun and forced the driver and the other man out of the car. A short time later, a state trooper pulled the car over near the Middlesex Shopping Center in Essex for a traffic violation. The two occupants ran off.
Burglary -- Someone entered a storage area of Windsor Electric in the 10200 block of S. Dolfield Road on Aug. 9 and stole a reel of copper wire valued at $400. The burglary was reported Tuesday.
