Oakwood Wesleyan to have movie night

Oakwood Wesleyan Church, 505 Oakwood Station Road in Glen Burnie, will have a community movie night, featuring the movie National Treasure, at dusk today.

This family-oriented event will include refreshments.

Peach Festival opens today

The Lutheran Women's Missionary League will hold its annual Peach Festival from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Galilee Lutheran Church, 4652 Mountain Road in Pasadena.

This event will have peach-inspired desserts, pit beef sandwiches and platters, hot dogs, salads, silent auction and music by John Norfolk.

St. John Lutheran Church, 8 First Ave., Brooklyn, will hold an estate and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

WoodStock concert at Woods Memorial

Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church, 611 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., Severna Park, will present "WoodStock" at 7 p.m. tomorrow.

The concert will feature performances from Christ Our Anchor Presbyterian and Wayman Good Hope AME churches, Sidewalk Ecumenical Ministries and the Woods Church praise team.

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children and $25 for a family of four.

Commemorative T-shirts are $10.

Proceeds will benefit the Severna Park Assistance Network.

Crab cake dinner, raffle is tomorrow

The events committee of St. Athanasius Roman Catholic Church 4708 Prudence St., Curtis Bay, will hold its annual crab cake dinner and raffle from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow.

The cost is $18 for adults and $8 for children younger than 12. The cost for carryout is $18. Call to purchase tickets in advance.

St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 4 Wallace Manor Road, Edgewater, will hold its weekly yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow.

Spaces are $15 for a 10-by-10 foot space, and $5 for tables.

The Benedictine Sisters of Ridgely will hold a vocation retreat from 11 a.m. Aug. 25 through 2 p.m. Aug. 26 at St. Gertrude Monastery, 14259 Benedictine Lane, Ridgely.
