Murray is elected Arc board president

Joseph V. Murray Sr., director of community relations at Ascend One Corp., has been elected president of the board of the Arc of Howard County.

Robert Topper is vice president; Jessica Pearsall, secretary; and A. Michael Klatzkin, treasurer.

Murray, who lives in Columbia, is chairman of the advisory board of the Volunteer Center Serving Howard County, and is vice chairman of the board of trustees of Columbia Pro Cantare and a member of the board of Friends of the Howard County Library.

Topper, of Sykesville, is vice president of the Central Maryland commercial region for M&T; Bank and a member of the Arc's finance and employment committees.

Pearsall, of Ellicott City, is co-chairwoman of the Arc's Education and Youth Issues committee and chairs the Parents Support Resource Network, a committee of the Arc.

Klatzkin, a certified public accountant in Howard County, is chairman of the Arc's Finance Committee.

CTC chooses Mangus as its president

Becky Mangus, publisher and owner of The Business Monthly, is now president of Corridor Transportation Corp. She has served on the CTC board for four years.

Stuart Title, vice president of brokerage and development of A.J. Properties in Odenton, completed his sixth year as president and will remain on the board.

Corridor Transportation manages the Howard Transit bus system and provides routes in northern Prince George's, eastern Montgomery and western Anne Arundel counties.
