The 62nd Howard County Fair concludes its eight-day run tomorrow. Amusement rides and games begin at 1 p.m. today and at 11 a.m. tomorrow. A petting zoo and education center are open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Chain-saw carving, pig races and performances by magicians and clowns are planned throughout the day.
Highlights today include a quarter horse show at 8 a.m., a 4-H livestock sale at 6:15 p.m. and performances by Alibi at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Tomorrow's highlights include a 4-H rocketry contest at 9 a.m., a baby contest and miniature parade at 10:30 a.m., the 30th annual horse pull at 10:30 a.m., the 30th annual antique tractor pull at 3 p.m., a parade of floats at 5 p.m., a 4-H all-star showmanship contest at 7 p.m. and performances by Jay Henley and the Stone Broke Band at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
