ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES
Cornerback Samari Rolle, the only player standing between running back Mike Anderson and the goal line, got plowed over, something that didn't go unnoticed by his teammates. "Do you need some help out there?" receiver Derrick Mason yelled to Rolle.
ROLE REVERSAL
Earlier in practice, Rolle read an out route correctly and was in perfect position to intercept quarterback Steve McNair's pass. But receiver Mark Clayton showed he could be an emergency defensive back when he raced to the sideline to break up the interception.
UP THE GUT
Running back Willis McGahee showed off his power during red-zone drills. Going against the second-team defense, McGahee ran the ball four times in between the tackles and scored on a 1-yard touchdown run.
QUOTABLE
"I think I lost 8 pounds in sweat today." - Backup quarterback Kyle Boller, after the Ravens endured their hottest practice of training camp.
INJURIES
Offensive tackle Jonathan Ogden (toe), inside linebacker Mike Smith (shoulder) and outside linebacker Dan Cody (knee) remain on the physically-unable-to-perform list. Nose tackle Kelly Gregg (right thigh bruise and knee) and linebacker Jamar Enzor did not practice. Enzor's injury is unknown.
