Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.
Shooting -- A young man was shot in front of a house in the 300 block of E. 21st St. in the Barclay neighborhood shortly before 5 p.m. yesterday and was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center. His name was not released. Details were not available. The shooting scene is a few blocks from where Donte Bracey, 20, was fatally shot in the back Thursday night in the 500 block of E. 23rd St., and a block from where Vic Roy Fenner, 17, was shot in the face Feb. 27. Fenner died the next day at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Police said it is not known whether the shootings are related.
Victim named -- Police yesterday identified the man shot in the 1200 block of Nanticoke St. about 1 a.m. Aug. 1 and who died an hour later at Maryland Shock Trauma Center as Eghosa Miaes, 20, of the 2100 block of E. Lombard St. No arrest had been made yesterday, and police said they had no motive in the killing.
Assault -- A 20-year-old Bolton Hill woman was jogging around the reservoir at Druid Hill Park about 3 p.m. Sunday when several young men and women began yelling foul language at her and throwing rocks. The woman was not injured and no arrests had been made.
Theft -- Someone entered a GMC truck parked in the first block of W. Preston St. on Sunday and stole a laptop computer and medical equipment. The property was valued at nearly $2,200.
Theft -- While a woman was checking on her cat -- kept in a pet carrier in her convertible Toyota parked in the 200 block of W. Lanvale St. about 2 p.m. Sunday -- a man reached into the vehicle and stole the woman's purse containing cash and property -- all valued at $180.
Arson -- Police were seeking whoever used a flammable liquid to set fire to a 2005 Chevrolet Impala early Sunday while the vehicle was parked in the 1600 block of Darley Ave. The flames scorched another car parked nearby. Anyone with information is asked to call the police district at 410-396-2433.
Assault -- A man, 31, from Baltimore County was involved in an altercation with another man in a bar in the 2300 block of Boston St. about 2 a.m. Sunday when someone stabbed him in the back. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital. There was no arrest.
Robbery -- Police were seeking a man who assaulted another man, 21, while the victim walked in the 1700 block of E. Fort Ave. early Friday and robbed him of his wallet containing $15 and a bank card.
Stolen vehicle -- Someone entered a storage lot at Motorlink Sales & Service in the 8300 block of Pulaski Highway early Friday and stole a green 1996 Dodge Avenger with no tags.
Burglary -- Police were seeking a known male who entered a house in the 400 block of Lorraine Ave. between July 31 and Saturday while the occupants were on vacation and stole a 30-inch TV valued at $700. Entry was through a rear door.
