James P. Krick Sr., retired manager of a downtown Baltimore office building, died of cancer Thursday at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Pottsville, Pa. The former Pasadena resident was 70.
Born in Detroit, he received training as an electrical engineer as a young man. He also served in the Army.
After moving to Maryland, he worked for Johnson Controls and managed the 201 N. Charles St. office building.
He moved to Pennsylvania eight years ago and belonged to the Girardville, Pa., American Legion post and the Girard Hose Company.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. tomorrow at the William F. McDonald Funeral Home in Girardville.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph D. Krick of Port Deposit and James P. Krick Jr. of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a daughter, Debra Cuff of Frackville, Pa.; a brother, Edward Krick of San Antonio; and eight grandchildren. His wife of 38 years, the former Frances Fraki, died in 1998.
