Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.
Robbery try/shooting -- A 23-year-old man was walking in the 4000 block of Fords Lane about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday when he was stopped by two men, one armed with a handgun, who demanded his money. When the victim pushed one of the men aside and tried to flee, the gunman shot him in the upper left arm and shoulder. The gunman and his accomplice fled. Police said the victim ran to his home and was taken to Sinai Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Assault -- A woman, 42, was talking to a man she knew on the parking lot of a service station in the 2200 block of Linden Ave. about 5 p.m. Tuesday when the man suddenly struck the woman in the face, breaking her nose. The woman refused medical treatment at the scene and was not expected to press charges against the man.
Burglary -- Someone broke into a house in the 6100 block of Pinehurst Ave. on July 23 and stole a purse containing cash, credit cards and other items. The burglary was reported Tuesday.
Stolen vehicle -- A red 1997 Chrysler Sebring convertible with tags A127972 was stolen from the 200 block of N. Mount St. between July 21 and Tuesday.
Assault -- Police were seeking several teenage females who attacked two other females, one 19 and the other 16, in the 2100 block of N. Pulaski St. late Saturday night. The victims suffered cuts and were treated at two hospitals.
Shooting -- A man involved in an altercation with two other men in the 3300 block of E. Fayette St. about 3 a.m. Sunday was shot in the upper right leg by one of the men when he attempted to flee. Police said the victim was shot with a .40-caliber semiautomatic handgun and was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital. No arrests had been made.
Theft/arrest -- Kenneth Tynes, 40, of the 2000 block of E. Lanvale St. arrested Tuesday and charged in the theft of socks, watches and deodorant - all valued at $75 - from Dollar Tree in the 8600 block of Philadelphia Road.
Burglary -- Jewelry and watches - valued together at nearly $7,000 - were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the 200 block of Windlass Drive in Middle River.
Burglary -- A Smith & Wesson .357-caliber Magnum handgun and vintage coins were stolen Tuesday from a bedroom in a house in the 5700 block of Emory Road.
