Shooting victim identified

Baltimore police released yesterday the name of a man who was fatally shot in Southwest Baltimore on Saturday night, and detectives are seeking information in the case. Demetris Downing Sr., 25, was found in the 2100 block of McHenry St. in the Carrollton Ridge neighborhood shortly before 7 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. No arrests had been made.
