Training Services On Demand Inc., based in Myersville, Frederick County, was awarded a General Services Administration schedule contract to provide federal agencies with training programs on a one-stop, no-compete basis.
Openings
Gay Street Food Emporium opened at 239 N. Gay St. with four franchises, Chix's Chicken, Hot Stuff Grill, Hot Stuff Pizza and Nap's Barbeque. The project involved restoration of three early 1850s units, including one with a cast-iron fa?ade, and was developed in conjunction with the Maryland Historic Trust.
View Systems Inc., a Baltimore-based provider of homeland security defense solutions, opened offices in Hidd, Bahrain.
In the works
Point Breeze Credit Union said construction has started on its newest branch at 410 S. Atwood Road in Bel Air. When completed, membership will be available to all employees and retirees of employers within a 20-mile radius of the branch location.
On the board
The Direct Selling Association named Leo V. Williams III to its board of directors. A retired Marine Reserve major general, he is executive vice president of Medifast Inc. of Owings Mills.
Sherry Welch was elected to a seat on the board of the Community College of Baltimore County Foundation. She is president of the St. Agnes Foundation.
