The Maryland state fire marshal's office is investigating a suspicious early-morning building fire in Manchester that caused $1,000 damage to the structure and contents, authorities said yesterday.
A passer-by called to report the fire at 3:12 a.m. yesterday in the 3200 block of Hanover Pike, according to the fire marshal's office.
Officials said the fire appeared to start on the outside of the 20-foot-by-30-foot frame building.
