Devil Rays update Yesterday's day off couldn't have come at a better time for the Devil Rays, who gave up 38 runs in their past two games to the New York Yankees. They lost the nightcap of Saturday's doubleheader, 17-5, and were routed again in Sunday's series finale, 21-4. Their 38-60 record is the worst in the major leagues. The Devil Rays' bullpen has a league-worst 6.64 ERA. The Devil Rays are hitting .315 since the All-Star break. Since returning from the disabled list, B.J. Upton is 16-for-36 with nine runs, 10 walks and 10 RBIs. Outfielder Carl Crawford, Tampa Bay's lone All-Star, sprained his ankle in the first game Saturday and is considered day-to-day. The Orioles are 5-1 against the Devil Rays this season and 30-13 against them since 2005.
