Victim identified -- Police released yesterday the name of the man fatally shot early Thursday in the 3100 block of Harford Road near Clifton Terrace at the edge of Clifton Park. Police said Donte Chase, 17, of the 3500 block of Pelham Ave. was shot once in the head and was found lying between two parked cars about 3:30 a.m. Chase was pronounced dead at the scene by medics. Police had made no arrest and knew of no motive for the killing.

Robbery -- Police were seeking a woman in her early 30s who entered the Love Zone, a store in the 500 block of S. Broadway, at 5 p.m. Monday and robbed the store of clothing valued at nearly $200 while threatening a clerk with a syringe. During the robbery, the woman told the clerk she had AIDS and would stick her with the syringe if she didn't comply with her demands.

Assault -- Two 56-year-old male residents of the 100 block of S. Broadway were arguing in their home about 4 p.m. Sunday when one of them threatened to cut the other with a knife. No arrest had been made.

Theft -- Someone broke into a 2005 Jeep Laredo parked in the 2800 block of O'Donnell St. about 6 p.m. Sunday and stole a Global Positioning System device and a cell phone. The property had a total value of $600.
